Meet the Inuit Futures Ilinniaqtuit

Inuit Futures in Arts Leadership: The Pilimmaksarniq / Pijariuqsarniq Project provides meaningful mentorship and training opportunities to Inuit postsecondary students across Canada, by uniting students with supervisors and employers in arts research and professional development. The ilinniaqtuit (students / learners) come from a variety of backgrounds and fields, but all demonstrate a profound interest in the arts and humanities and are poised to become the next generation of knowledge creators.

Meet the Team

Inuit Futures in Arts Leadership: The Pilimmaksarniq / Pijariuqsarniq Project is an initiative that aims to support Inuit and Inuvialuit in Canada in their pursuit of higher education and professional opportunities in all aspects of the arts and humanities. Our mentors include Inuit and other partners across Canada who are committed to ensuring that Inuit students receive high level training and meaningful opportunities in all aspects of academia and professional practice across the arts, including film, theatre, the visual arts, museum studies, curatorial practice, arts administration and other areas. We are always looking to expand our network across the North and South. Please visit the links below to learn about our Inuit leadership team, our dedicated partners, staff, and fantastic students, and reach out to us if you would like to participate as a mentor or one of our Ilinniaqtuit (students / learners).
